We shot some quick aerials for Sothebys International Realty, using our octocopter rig, a very quick and affordable solution to almost any type of aerial work, both stills or HD video. Here are a few shots from the shoot.

 

 

We were booked by Giant Films to shoot some aerials for a new Audi TV commercial in Cape Town, a true test for our new SteadiDrone systems in the 45km/h+ wind conditions. We shot in the city centre about 80m up with our live wireless video feed to the directors monitors, they could monitor and view what we were shooting and also communicate exactly what they needed to capture, all in all an amazing shoot. We also shot some aerials for a feature film in Hermanus later the next day.

We recently covered the Knysna Rocks Music Festival where we did both the live video production as well as the aerial video with live video streaming down to the stage big screens while we were in the air! An amazing event with some of SA's top band, Prime Circle, the legendary Johnny Clegg, Die Heuwels Fantasties and many others. The Motion Pixel team is back after a well needed break and ready to hit 2012! Here are two quick images from the Robberg Hut, in Plettenberg Bay where we love to go and spent our last few days of holiday, the most amazing place in the world.

 

We had the privilege once again to shoot and produce the Otter African Trail Run, the most epic trail run out there!

The Otter Run & Challenge presented by Hi-Tec has been dubbed “the Grail of Trails”. At 42km it is a full trail marathon that traverses South Africa’s most iconic hiking trail; the Otter Trail, arguably one of the most beautiful trails on the planet. The Otter Run & Challenge are the only times when trail running is permitted on the Otter Trail. Below you can view the full 26min broadcast of the show, enjoy!
